History of Missouri Women's Cricket

Missouri Women's Cricket Program started in Aug 2014 under the leadership of MYCA President, Priya Singh. It started off as a pilot project towards women's cricket development and got off to a very positive start.

The program started with 3 weeks introductory camp which was attended by 23 women players, most of them playing cricket for the first time.

The camp was followed by Missouri Women's Team participation in the Under 13 Youth Tournament 20/20 Tournament in September 2014. The Team played 4 matches against Youth U13 Boys Teams. Ritu Singh with 12 Wickets in 4 Games was adjudged the Best Bowler of the Tournament.

This was followed by a Bilateral T20 Series against Atlanta Pearls on Oct 11th/12th 2014 at Bales Park, St. Charles, MO. The series was tied 1-1 with the 3rd game being washed out. The series had lots of positives and embarked the beginning of a new and refreshing chapter in USA Women's Cricket.

2015 started in 1st week of April and MYCA Women's Group meets 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month at 11.30 AM at Bales Park, St. Charles. New players are always welcome and the women's program is supported by Missouri Youth Cricket Association
